gallbladder disease as cause of pancreatitis

I recently was hospitalized for acute pancreatitis.  An ultrasound was done of my gallbladder and it was normal as was the CT scan of my pancreas.  My doctor still thinks I have gallbladder disease and ordered a HITA scan done.  I have no symptoms of gallbladder problems, but the scan from what I could see and from comments by the technician indicated almost no contraction, a large gallbladder, and from what I could see no emptying of the gallbladder.  I don't have the actual results yet, but was surprised because of lack of symptoms.  Any thoughts?

Gallbladder dysfunction can result in pancreatitis. Your doc will probably suggest trying to clear up the pancreatitis as much as possible if possible, and then undertake GB surgery. Make sure that when the surgery is done, that the common bile duct is swept for sludge or stones.

Update:  I got my test results today and found that not only do I still have pancreatitis, although not as severe, but my ejection rate was zero.  Actually the report said less than zero although I don't know how that is possible.  I have read that gallbladder surgery is dangerous in the presence of pancreatitis and that the pancreatitis can also cause gallbladder disease or vice versa.  Anyone had similar question?
