I received the gastric pacemaker 5 weeks ago. I have had a big decline in the nausea and vomiting, but have developed a seroma. This IS extremely painful, The Dr. has put me on some very strong painkillers that leave me very groggy and completely out of it. I have no idea when I can return to work or to a normal life. I am going to see the Dr. again in 2 days. Does anyone know how long this takes to resolve? The pain is unbearble. It just got worse every day since the surgery. PLEASE any advice would be greatly apprciated.

I don't know if you've heard about this, but there's a great gastroparesis group in Yahoo Groups. You're likely to find a fair amount of info there from people who've been through what you and your daughter are going through.
