painful middle/lower/ right stomach area

Hi I am 34 female, was diagnosed with gallstones, few months ago. But lately when I wake up in the morning, and turn  over to my back, my navel area and under navel to the mid side of right is hurting. Can't feel anything all day except after laying down or sitting down for long. It worries me, I had an ultrasound scan, and couldn't find anything. My Dr. Said he would send me for a mri.no appendix, nor kidney, nor pelvic issues.
I don't know. I googled and might be IBS. I don't know, anybody out there that experienced anything like this.

Please keep me informed and ask your Doctor what is your risk of developing Cholangitis and complications from Gallstones.

All the best,

Hi, thank you.
I am sorry to hear, what you have been through.
yes he said we will do another scan in 6 months time.
the gallstones were found by suprise actually. I don't have pain, or attacks normally.
I understand that the gallbladder is located around upper right ,. My pain is by navel area, and about 5 cm under navel to the right. I don't know if it is the gallbladder, and the pain is radiation down to navel area. I have no clue.
the gallbladder sack is half full of stones, the biggest measuring 1cm.
I am very worried.need to confront him.
thanks again

Hi there,

You mentioned that you have a diagnoses of Gallstones.  Did the Doctors say what they are going to do about that?

A Gallbladder is not suppose to make gallstones and all your symptoms can account for it.

When the stones makes it way to your Gallbladder, it is painful and can feel tender around your liver and abdomen.  It can also get stuck in the bile duct and cause a life-threatening infection called Cholangitis.

I had my Gallbladder (full of stones) removed when I was 30 and got very sick from it and had complications from blocked bile duct and that had to be repaired through emergency ERCP and MRCP.

Be pro-active and ask your Doctor what is the action plan now that you have your diagnoses and all these symptoms.

Please let me know how you are doing.

Wants to add, no medication taken, and relieve myself regularly. Even taking a deep breath while laying down is so uncomfortable.
