porcelein gall bladder

I have been told I have calcium deposits all around (encasing) my gall bladder - i think the term used was porcilinitis? and that I may need to have my gall bladdre removed - I can find no info on this condition  - can there be a non surgical option to trat this? thank you

There is a good article on this condition in Emedicine.com. It is suggested that surgery not be delayed in the case of a porcelain gallbladder. There is a high incidence of this condition becoming serious if surgery is not performed.
