upper abdominal pain and swelling

In October 2009 I had a sudden attack of pain just below my sternum, and in my back.  Went to the ER, blood work and ultrasound showed gallbladder was swollen, and stones were seen on x-ray.  Was told this was a classic "gallbladder attack". Gallbladder was removed.  Since then the area between my ribs and just below my sternum has been slightly swollen and tender to touch.
One month ago, had sudden pain, identical to the "gallbladder attack".  Went to ER, bloodwork and x-ray showed nothing.  Pain eased and I was sent home.  Two days ago it happened again.  Went to ER and again nothing was found.  I do also have very mild acid reflux and also IBS.
Any help in diagnosing this would be appreciated.

I was going through the same thing and was diagnosed with Functional Dyspepsia
try asking your doctors if this could be related to you.

They tested your liver function and for infection?  Try looking up Tietze syndrome and see if you think that might be a possibility.
