upper abdominal pain, cramping, upper right back pain

The pain started 9-12-06 in my lower right abdominal area and seemed to spread to my upper right rib area and upper right back area. I have since had an Abdominal ultrasound that showed several cysts on my right ovary. I also had a CT scan of my upper chest area as well as my pelvic area.( the morning of the Ct scan I had a severe bout of diarrhea but the Ct scan showed that my bowels were not completely empty)
These tests also showed that there was a thickening of my colon near the spleen. I was then sent for an Endoscopy...showed nothing. Was then sent for a Colonoscopy which showed 2 small polyps. I've had bouts of constipation and diarrhea with some nausea and bloating since 9-12-06.
My Gallbladder was removed in 2002 and ever since then I've experienced nothing but pain. I get these attacks in the center of my chest and directly in the same area in my back, feels like I'm having a heart attack, sweats and severe pain. These attacks are less frequent but they started the day that the Dr. removed my gallbaldder. The pain I'm having now is constant unless I'm taking something to control the pain or unless I've been sedated. The GI Dr said that there is a possiblity of liver stones because this is the same pain I was having when the Dr decided to remove my gallbladder. the Dr did mention the my red blood cells were slightly elevated but showed no real concern.
Does anyone know what this pain is? Are there any other tests available that could show whats causing this pain? I feel like I'm going crazy because the test have all come back negative.

I had similar pains after my GB surgery. The first time the pain lasted 6 days. Went to ER during 4th day and they said I was constipated.
Then in Nov. pain started again, it eventually got real bad (I was in tears!) They did blood work found liver enzymes to be highly elevated along with bilirubin. Admitted to hospital and had ERCP was great for a few days, then light sharp pains began again (nothin' like original pains)! Had another ERCP on the 8th of this month and this time common bile duct was inflamed and they removed sludge.
I know they said that the stones they found they couldn't even see in the x-ray portion of the ERCP. The other doctor told me that a hidascan would not have picked them up either.
I would assume when in this pain those blood levels would be elevated.

I too had my gall bladder removed and still have "attacks" similar to yours.  Bad "attacks" occur about 5 months apart with livable pain almost daily.  Gastro did a colonoscopy and endoscopy, both normal.  Put me on prevacid. Last attack sent me to the hospital.  Blood work showed extremely elevated liver enzymes (1400/880).  They wanted to do a CT scan but after waiting 4 hours, had enough and left.  Went to gastro a few day later.  Blood levels had gone down to almost normal.  Had an MRI which came back normal.  Dr. is mystified.  She thinks perhaps there a stones to small to be seen, or maybe dumping sludge.  Put me on Urso Forte 500mg. 2x/day. Takes a few months to work (if it does indeed work).  Only way to know is if there are no more attacks. She said I need to stay on it for 9 months, with no guarantees that the "attacks"  will not reoccur afterwords.  Hope this helps some.

for about a month now I have been having this Cramping dull like pain on my Lower right side of the abdomen...I also feel a dull pain on the upper right side as well just under the rib cage...I have not noticed any blood in bowels...the pain is intermittent especially on the Lower right side and it is more of a slight dull ache that stays for about 20 - 30 mins then dissapears.

I have gone to see My GP who did a physical examination of my abdominal area but he was quite dismissive as to anything sinister going on...I have my blood tests in 2 days time and will see my GP there after.......but does anyone know of possible ailments these symptoms might relate to

about 8 years ago I had my appendix removed so I know it cannot be appendicitis.

am not even sure if the pain from the upper right side is related to that in the lower right side of the abdomen...

I have no other symptoms except for these...no Blood  in bowels.... Diarrhea or constipation I do tend to have the occassional shoulder pain but I put that down to the akward way I slept....and more than often that dissapears

quite scared...please help
