Screw that went awry

I am looking at me second hip surgery. My first one was in 2015 for FAI (Femoroacetabular impingement). The surgeon wasn't good at putting in screws. So 5 years later the screw has embedded about half way through the femur. The screw has misplaced hip muscles/tendon, fluid build uP, and bits floating around. I am curious on how would they remove screw that is embedded in your bone. What about bone integrity?

Hello and welcome to the forum.  There was a delay in answering you for which I apologize.  Have you had your second surgery.  Here is information on removing screws from bone:  https://www.drugs.com/cg/hardware-removal-aftercare-instructions.html  A broken screw is more complicated.  Please let us know how this went.  A common question is will the holes left after fill and the general answer is yes.  However, you have to be very careful to prevent fracture due to bone weakness as this happens.  It can take 6 weeks or more.  Please let us know how everything went.
