How HIV sore throats behave is irrelevant. The test shows you do not have HIV, and therefore your sore throat cannot possibly be due to HIV. End of story. (Anyway, HIV sore throats generally clear up within a couple of weeks.)
That's all for this thread.
Just for my satisfaction, I want one final clarification: this sore throat that I describes is very dry now and is there for 5 weeks....waht is the typical sore throat due to HIV and how long does it last, please do answer....I feel something only when i breathe
I saw this comment before I replied.
HIV test results always are more reliable than risk history or symptoms in judging whether someone has an HIV infection. As has been discussed many times here, very few if any illnesses delay HIV test positivity or alter the reliability of the test results. Your negative HIV tests at 7 and 9 weeks prove that you did not catch HIV and that something else is the cause of your symptoms. (Also, the symptoms do not sound at all like those of a new HIV infection.)
See a doctor or clinic if your symptoms continue or you otherwise remain concerned. But stop worrying about HIV. You don't have it.
Good luck-- HHH, MD
Also I have mild psoriasis for last 10 years, can it delay the prodution of HIV antibodies...
