So confused

Dear doctors,
Firstly I would like to thanks u guys for such a great forum. I am 33 yrs indian guy, studying Australia. In October I met someone I know for long time. Sorry I am a male and had a receptive anal sex with that guy. Sex was unprotected.  abt 6 weeks after,  I had sore throat for five days and I went to doctor. I am not sure if I had fever, but I was very very tired for few days. Doctor sent me for Siemens HIV antigen/ antibody blood test which I did after 47 days this exposure. I was so scared and asked the guy twice. He assured me he was negative. I was negative but since then I am very scared. Everything happens to me I just add it with HIV. My tongue is very white since then, and my sore throat is off and on. It has been 3 days I have pain in my anus. I feel like something like pimple, and lower part of my stomach is sore.  Please help me with my questions:-
1. Was my test reliable and genuine?
2. Do I need to do any further testing, because there is so much confusing information.
3. Why my tongue is white and sore throat is not going away? ( stress may be)
4. As u guys say, that testing after six week is about 100%. Is there any chance results can be changed after that. Mine was abt 7 weeks.
5. One nail of my feet has changed color, is it something to do with HIV.
My partner is keep assuring me he is negative. I don't know y I am not trusting him.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

If there is discharge from your anus this may be due to irritaton from the act.  It does not necessarily mean you are infected although as I said above, if you have not had rectal cutres for gonorrhea and chlamydia, I think you should.  EWH

Thanks for the reply, last question. What abt my anus. It seems like smelly water is coming there. I am sore while go to toilet, and sitting. It has been five days now. What it could be? A std? Yeast infection? This is my last question doc. Isn't it too late for hiv symptoms?
Thanks

Welcome to our Forum.  I'll be pleased to comment.  Unprotected receptive anal intercourse is the highest risk activity for HIV acquisition of all sex acts, leading to infection in about 1 in 100 exposures (1%).  Your partner said he was not infected and thus, probably was not.  You have however PROVEN that you were not infected with your test. The Seimens 4th generation HIV antigen/antibody test provides definitive results at any time after 28 days.  You were not infected.

In answer to your specific questions:
1. Was my test reliable and genuine?
Yes

2. Do I need to do any further testing, because there is so much confusing information.
No further testing is needed for HIV.  If you were not tested for other STIs (gonorrhea, chlamydia in particular) you should be to be sure.

3. Why my tongue is white and sore throat is not going away? ( stress may be)
This is not HIV.  You have proved this.  You may be noting normal variation in the appearance of your tongue and smoking can cause these things as well.

4. As u guys say, that testing after six week is about 100%. Is there any chance results can be changed after that. Mine was abt 7 weeks.
The test you have been tested with is conclusive at 4 weeks.

5. One nail of my feet has changed color, is it something to do with HIV.
No, this is not HIV.

I hope these comments are helpful.  You were not infected through the exposure that you describe.  In the future however, please use condoms and practice safe sex.  EWH
