10 week Anxiety ?

Hi,
Experiencing lots of aches and pains 10 weeks after protected vaginal sex but unprotected blow job from a female escort.

Can this be caused by anxiety? Is 10 weeks after exposure too late to become HIV+?

Thanks

I am in a 3.5 year relationship and it was a big mistake on my part! so wanted to get tested for STD's and HIV. Just want to have the 12 week test to put me fully at ease.

I had protected vaginal and unprotected oral sex with a girl. I also had a sore throat and cough after 2 weeks. But, that cough was going on and off and sore throat went off in a week. It's cold season and most of us will catch a cold. Cough and sore throat are due to cold, I think. I took hiv test at 6 week and it was negative. Then, I forgot about it and moved on. Read many of the archieved post, you will also see that many people who became infected got their bad results at 5 to 6 weeks. Bottom line is, protected sex is protected. Oral sex is no risk, very tiny to measure anyways. Forget about it and move on. I still see cough but I don't bother to test anymore because I know I don't want to go through hell of anxiety again.

I developed a sore throat and a cold at 3.5 weeks after my risk which took about a week to get rid of. Then got a bad flu, diaheria, sickness, cough, weight loss at roughly 6 weeks after my risk. What I'm worried about is I contracted HIV and started showing signs at 3.5 weeks, my immune system got weaker then I caught the flu because of that. Could this happen?

To my knowledge, it is after the symptoms. Once they disappear, your body develops antibodies. Which will most likely occur after 2 to 4 weeks of possible exposure.

Out of interest, when people change from HIV- to HIV+, is this usually right in the middle of any symptoms a person may have, or at the very start of symptoms, e.g. fever, sore throat, etc?

Thanks
