I'm sorry to here that you have tested hiv positive Alex, this is terrible news. My thoughts are with you, and if you need any support or an ear, please feel free to send me a message to my account. If you don't mind, I have some questions about your exposure.
1.What type of sex act did you engage in -vaginal, anal, oral?
2.Was your partner female or male?
3.Did you use any oil based products such as vaseline or baby oil? This can weaken the condoms strength.
4.Did you wear the condom the whole way through?
5.Did you initially begin with unprotected intercourse and then don the condom after intercourse began?
6.Was the condom your or your partners, and how long had you owned the condom before you used it? Was it new or somewhat old? Was it carried in a pocket or in your wallet, or stored in the glove box of your vehicle, ect?
A bit of advice might be to wait until you've reached three months and then test again using the western blot method to be certain. Nothing is 100 % in life Alex, and not to preach after the fact or anything, but the partners you chose engage in intercourse with do count. The use of a condom every time you engage in intercourse is a highly effective preventative. Minimizing the risk also means taking stock of your partner(s) background and knowing that there hiv status is negative. All the best.

hiv positive person is scared and shocked after getting those positive results. they dont write cheers. i think he is bs ing.
Not sure I believe this. If true, absolutely did not happen as the poster has described. No way. If it isn't true, I hope the poster realizes what he or she is doing and stops. It would be cruel in the extreme to come on a site like this and start putting out bogus information, especially given the level of anxiety one sees here on a daily basis.
Bottom line, something isn't right about this post. I will be charitable and chalk it up to a certain confusion on the part of the poster.

WTF, how did you get hiv from protected sex, was the condom latex or lambskin bc hiv can not pass trough latex! Research was done and proven! If u had hiv then it is sure not from this protected exposure unless the condom broke your hole was exposed. Or your test was a false positive, hope it was if you are serious bout this.
What better way to get a sadistic kick than to visit an HIV panic disorder forum full of people worried up the ass and tell everyone you got infected from a one time protected encounter? Oh yeah! And on top of that, you already tested negative in the normal window period and now in the extreme end of it you're positive.

Im sorry to hear about this,but you need to get it confirmed with another test.If your positive just get treated and educate yourself about hiv.You not gonna die,keep living your life!

If you're not lying:
1. Your protected exposure did not lead to your present situation
2. Your 4 weeks negative had nothing to do with your 12 week turning to be positive cuz, all time frames here are goofed up !

yes man i am also smelling something fishy about alexbb whether he is making fool and increasing our anxiety more who are going through the window period or he don"t have hiv and ..

You mention u had a test at 2 weeks and 4 weeks, do note that the min period for a accurate n reliable is 6 weeks, ( e.g Massachusetts ) , to me 4 weeks testing is too soon.The Doc here go by 6 - 8 weeks testing period.
Alexbb- I hope to God it was a false positive. If not, I am so sorry to hear the news. I can only imagine what you're going through :(
Have a feeling my test results coming in next week will be some sort of tie breaker- it's sad to see three people turn positive in the month or two that I have been on this forum :( Mine come in next Friday....
What is going on? It seems awful strange that all of a sudden in the last couple days that more than one person is saying they have positive tests after negatives, especially this one that was no risk.
I hope you don't have HIV, but if you got it, it wasn't from having protected sex and there is another epsiode you're not mentioning.

Of course you can get HIV without symptoms.
And if you really DO have HIV, you sure didn't get it from that exposure.

thanks for your comment. but can you tell me is there any case like me didn`t get fever or diaria on begining of the hiv infection? is it possible?
