can you take HIV test on empty stomach/fasting?

I know that you do not need to fast for HIV antibody/antigen tests but what if someone WAS fasting and hadn’t eaten/drunk anything in 10-12 hours..would being on an empty stomach affect the accuracy of the test??

You have been answered by our members that it is not required to fast. We can not say why another website publishes something.  We are now closing this discussion.

Are you sure? Whether I am on empty stomach or full stomach including water, it would not affect the result of my HIV antibody/antigen test?
WHY does this website say blood for HIV should be given on empty stomach?? I was NOT on an empty stomach. Is my test wrong then??

it dosent have any affect, hiv test is not a diabetic test where you need to fast inorder to measure your blood sugar level.
But why does that website I posted the link to say hiv test should be done on empty stomach?
