6 week test

Dr. I performed cunnilingus and received fellatio form a woman I met 9 weeks ago. Very nervous. Got tested right at 6 weeks. Non reactive. She stated that she does not have any type of std but I wanted to make sure. Is this 6 week test conclusive in your opinion. Thank you.

There is no difference in HIV test performance between 40 days and exactly 6 weeks (42 days).  You don't have HIV.

You came here for reassurance.  I gave it.  This is not a counseling site for people who cannot accept it.  That's all for this thread.  (And don't start a new one with the same questions.)

Welcome to the HIV forum. But I have to assume you chose not to read the prominent "Disclaimer -- Please Read Before Posting" or heed its advice to look for other similar questions and replies.

The answers which have been given innumerable times are:  Cunnilingus and receiving oral sex are such low risk for HIV that some experts believe such transmission never occurs.  People rarely lie about their HIV status when asked directly, so it is unlikely your partner had HIV.  Negative HIV antibody test results at 6 weeks are almost 100% reliable.

You didn't need testing at all and your 6 week result is conclusive.

Let's not have any follow-up questions for clarification etc.  Use the search link to find literally hundreds of discussions about all this.

Stay safe--  HHH, MD
