Hamster bite

Hi everyone!
My friend was bitten by my hamster, and after 30 seconds (more or less) i was bitten too.
I was told by a doctor that there's a risk for hiv if the hamster had blood in the mouth after the first bite.
The bites, mine and my friend's, were actually both small and slight, but I can't assume how much blood there could possibly be involved. And plus, I'm scared cause when the hamster bites the teeth go in deep, even if the injury is small, so I thought it could be like a needle.

So it's not similar to a needle poke? I don't need to test?

Thank you very much Vance.
My friend had unprotected sex in the past, but I don't know her status. Why are you asking?
