wound exposed to hiv+ blood

Two days ago,as a car accident, my arm has a wound.When I got to hospital the blood is flow also,I am sitting in a chair waiting for the doctor`s treatment. at that very moment,a man walked from my side,a drop of blood dripping from his nose,the blood just drop into my bleeding wound.a nurse told me the man with aids.Do I have risk and need to have a test.thank you.

Wouldn't have mattered if his nose was right above your arm.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child

No one would tell you that another pt had AIDS.  That's a HIPPA violation and it's taken VERY seriously.  Sorry, didn't happen.

Teak, the distance between the man's nose and my bleeding wound is only about 300mm.

No you didn't have a risk and you do not need an HIV test.
