Question about Rapid Home Test

Hi I have been worried for sometime about an exposure and recently brought an icare hiv rapid test. It came back negative though I am not sure if I did it correct. Now I was just wondering what everyone thinks about the reliability of these tests, and also if not giving enough blood or doing it incorrect would still show negative. Are the safety mechanisms accurate? Please any advice would be great.

Have no idea, can just inform you that it is not an approved test.

So with this statement I can take for those people out there who see this that these tests, while not fda approved, are indeed not a scam of any sort?

it wasn't a low risk, it wasn't a risk at all.

It was unprotected oral sex with a positive person. I know it is low risk but the question is about these tests.

Can't help you on an unapproved test. If you had an exposure go get an approved test.

Is there any chance you could explain the difference please. I have heard some doctors say that is not the be all and end all in regard towards this kind of stuff. Should I be worried that these tests are false?

I understand that, does that mean they are basically selling a false product? Thanks for your quick reply.
