You were already told.Seconds,if that.
Then why do doctors say "it'd be so rare for you to get HIV that way" if there is no chance? That's what my gyno said
Your gyno doesn't know what there talking about, and a gyno is no HIV specialist either. It's not rare,it's not possible.Full stop.
Okay so I can put this to rest and not get tested for the cut I got during the manicure? There is no way and it's fully impossible? And it in my mind more Than anything? Even on the doctor forums they say "highly unlikely" which I don't know of its just semantics or me reading into it too much
I know this was a tough incident to deal with but with all due respect you it's just not a mode of HIV transmission,if it was you would hear about it in the media, news, etc. It's just not and you're safe.If you tested for such an incident you would be wasting your time because it would just come back negative. If I were you I would accept the facts and move on with your life.
Thank you for all of your support. I have a lot of anxiety and worry a lot. You're right. Thank you so much
which I don't know of its just semantics or me reading into it too much .
YES!
A tiny cut on the cuticle is a superficial cut. HIV has to reach the bloodstream to allow for infection, which it can't do with a little shallow cut. THEN you have the issue if the virus being extremely fragile, it starts "dying" the second it is exposed to the elements, plus there would have to be a LARGE amount of blood for it to be considered a risk. All of those factors put together would make your encounter ZERO risk.
Your situation is just not a risk!! If you can't accept that, you may want to consider getting some help.
There are excellent treatments for anxiety that will help you feel better.I wish you all the best.
Thank you both so much. I'm starting with a therapist next week. Me being cut by accident during a manicure Isham been traumatic and I can't stop worrying. It's my anxiety. I appreciate your help and hopefully I'll look back on this incident in a few months and laugh about it. :) all your support is greatly appreciated and a huge thank you to nurse girl, teak and rain lover
