After two years and half !!

Dear Dr ,

in 10-10-2009 i dated girl , the only thing happened between us was  rubbing my penis on girl vagina only outside the vagina without any entering inside and i was wearing condom (Durex) for about 15 min then when i came i took out the condom and put my penis on her breast and she touched my penis using her hand ( im assuiming some of her vaginal fliud would be in her hand !! )
Does this action carry any risk of HIV .
Or can any of vagina fliud pass through the condom although i couldent notice any break on the condom ( im assuming it can be very micro holes in the condom which i couldent see using my normal eyes !! )

Im very worried because my work will carry out blood test for all employee and im little worried about the test result which i should do in next week !!

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your question.  I can help.

You describe a no-risk sexual encounter.  HIV is not transmitted by contact of the penis with a partner's hand, breast, or anywhere else on the skin.  Even without a condom there was no risk, and even if you had penetrated her vagina (with the condom) there would be no risk.  If an condom does not break wide open, then protection was complete; it is an urban myth that microscopic holes can permit HIV or STD transmission.

I'm not convinced your lymph nodes are enlarged; self assessment of lymph nodes by non-health professionals is notoriously unreliable -- and even if you have enlarged nodes, HIV is a far less common possibility than several other health conditions.  But of course if your symptoms continue or you remain concerned about it, see a doctor or clinic.

Now I have a question for you.  Why are you asking the question on this forum or anywhere else, since a definitive answer is so easily available?  Have an HIV test!  If the events above are your only possible transmission risk, you can be sure of a negative result.

Seeing you are in Dubai, I imagine you're not a citizen of UAE and are worried about deportation if you test positive.  However, as I have said, almost certainly your HIV test will be negative; and if positive, you would need to leave UAE to get care for your HIV -- so being deported wouldn't matter.

So have an HIV test if the negative result will help you stop worrying.  Feel free to post your test result.  But since speculation is useless, I won't have any further comments or advice until then.

Finally,

I saw this and took it into account in my reply above.  Lymph node inflammation due to HIV would not clear up in a week.

Thanks for the clarification.  This forum receives occasional questions from expats in UAE, but I think this is the first from a citizen.  And I understand excellent care indeed is provided for HIV infected locals.

Anyway, my advie remains the same.  Have an HIV test to calm your fears about it.  If you have had no riskier exposures than the one described above, you can expect negative results.
