Welcome to the Forum. I'll be pleased to comment. The exposure you describe did not put you at risk for STI including HIV. Condom protected sex is safe sex. Further, your repeated testing since your exposure proves that you were not infected. You do not need to worry or to test further, you need to move forward.
In answer to your specific questions:
1- am i at any risk?
No.
2- do i need further testing?people say 6 months on the net and that freaks me out so much
No further testing is needed.
3-i born with strong thalasemia my doctor says but that never has done anything to my buddy or i never took medication for it can that delay it? but as long as i know nothing wrong with my immune system!
No, your thalassemia will not change your susceptibility to infection or your test results.
4-why people say 6 months?
Because they are overly conservative.
5-can i have unprotected sex with my wife now?
Yes.
Please do not worry further. EWH
Final answer. I cannot explain while some people are overly conservative. Some are using older data which are no longer applicable, others are simply scared and ill-informed. You are not likely to be among those for whom such consevative advice applies.
This thread will need to end now., Take care. eWH
Thanks so much Dr you have helped me to put lots of stress away from last night, But i don't still get why some people are so conservative to say 6 months?
is there any medical reason? or is it logical?
can I be in any categories that meets their conservative list?
Regards
that you shaved a few days before your exposure and had genital cuts in no way changes my opinion or advice, nor does blood on the outside of the condom. EWH
I shaved my area few days before exposure and remember having some cuts when i was shaving , and there was noticeable blood on the condom when i was taking it out, does this change anything at all?
in addition my wife when she had red eye told me that she get hot sometimes and then it goes away she mentioned this to me once.
