Am I at risk? please answer asap

Hi doctors,
I have a question about hiv risk. Here is my story: last night I had sex with a sex worker, no blowjob, intercourse using condom, but I have no idea of the condom is intact or not, just remember my semen was in the tip of the condom. If there was any tiny hole that I did not notice then am I at risk? AND more important, when she was sexual excited, she bit me on my shoulder and scratched my back, it was bled a bit. Do I need pep? please answer asap! Thank you!

Welcome to the Forum.  You can rest assured that this was a virtually no risk exposure and that you are not at risk for HIV from the activities you describe.  First, it is unlikely that your partner had HIV- few CSWs do.  Second, even if she did have HIV, condom protected sex is safe sex and HIV is not spread though biting in the context of sex or scratching with fingernails.  As for your concerns that the condom did not work, do not worry.  when condoms fail, they break wide open- they do not leak a little.

From a medical perspective, there is no reason to worry and not even a reason to test. There is no logical reason to consider PEP.  Please do not worry.  EWH

Thank you for your quick reply!
Just a few more question: you said that biting is not a risk for hiv infection, even when bleeding occurs it still no risk? My country is a poor one in Asia, where sex workers are not healthy-treated and not well sex educated also. And the ratio of people that living with hiv is quite high. That's why I have a lot of concerns. And just remember, when I ejaculated, I did not pull out immediately, only when my penis went down, I pulled out and the condom has slipped, it only covered half of my penis. Does it pose any risk if the secretion may leak into the condom?
