HIV from wound-2-wound contact! Scared! Help!

Dear Experts,

I am very grateful to you for your kindness and great contribution to the community. I am really worried and it is great I can found this forum.

Sorry for my English since I am from an Asian country.

My HIV concern is that: yesterday, during the bike racing contest, I collided with my classmates and we fell off. My palm had some bleeding abrasions. I could see blood oozed out from the woulds. When I got home and the fear of catching HIV started to control my mind. Since I shook hands with the two guys who also fell off. I was afraid that my classmates could have bleeding  wounds in their palms too and my wounds would contact with their wounds and there was some risk of HIV infection.

Could I get HIV this way? Can you answer me? I am really worried

Thank you in advance.

Thanks a lot for your clarification. I have tested for HIV for a couple of times before and I had to wait seven days to get the result. That is a painful waiting days. After collecting negative results, but then my mind seems to have some type of fear and anxiety over HIV.

So, I do not have to test over this incident, right? I am an active student and enjoy physical activities. Regarding HIV concerns, there is no risk of HIV from sporting like wrestling, boxing, soccer, karate & kungfu…Things get rough in these sports and bleeding & wounds & abrasions & cuts might involve in these sports, but no risk of HIV infection, right?

Thank you!

Thanks for your answer. It really makes me relieved.  Some concerns from me are:

_The deep bleeding wounds you had described are actively bleeding and deep, right? When this happens, i need to run to the hospital for stitching my wounds in stead of standing and shaking hands with my friends. Is that correct?

_And the risk could happen if my wounds and other wounds ( both sides are actively bleeding) rub against each other.

Am i correct?

Thanks in advance!

We are live in Vietnam and HIV / AIDS education is conservative and scared. Kissing is also a risk of HIV of there is gum or ulcers. That is we are taught. So i need your help here.

Those wound that i mentioned are so painful that you wouldnt want anything to touch it as it very painful let alone to shake hand with someone.
Also when blood of hiv exposed to outside air and temperature is render inactive and remains uninfecfious and the most common way to spread through blood hiv are through the needles injection where the hiv blood are keep inside a vacum needle.
Kissing is considered not a risk for hiv infection and if do search CDC website you can see that they mentioned that too over their website.
Try to relaz theres no risk from the event you described and if you dont believed then try to take a test 28 days later after the incident with a duo test,it will be negative.

Those wound that is likely to result in HIV infection are usually those very deep bleeding wound that would required you to have an emergency treatment at an ER.Also its very unlikely that your friend is HIV positive.
