Hiv fear

Hello,

I appreciate your dedication towards us that possess this fear. I will say I have been exposed twice this year (shame on me)

March 21 2019 oral sex to man (hiv unknown) penis frotation at the entry of vagina and a small cut at the vagina( prob from last sex) after this encounter one month later I discover I have hypertrophic rhinitis.

May 28 and 29 oral sex with (hiv unknown claim is clean but lab test are 6 months ago date not showing on paper) I had cranker sore and 5 days before sex I went to the dentist and had an abscess pinched and dentist put me in antibiotics for 10 days. Precum involved he also performed oral sex to me. And genital skin contact occur of our genitals.

2 days after I had infection itchy , swollen, creamy discharge put ovules and cream and got better but my discharge creaky still. 2 weeks after lymph node was getting a bit hard lasted a week , a couple nights sweat my pillow, pain in lower back and now my period didn’t come.

I know you say oral almost no risk even with a cut can hiv cause miss-period??
I live in the Caribbean do you know in US which test can be bought so I can test early? Doctors here ask you to wait 3 months !!

We are sorry you are so anxious but your question has been fully answered as to what the risks are for HIV.  Our members have clearly stated you had no risk.  We hope that you receive some help for your anxiety.

The chances that either of these men had hiv is very small, and as for your first encounter, a small cut near your vagina poses no risk. A cut capable of allowing hiv to transmit would have to be very deep, fresh and in need of medical attention. Hypertrophic rhinitis has nothing to do with HIV. Your first encounter posed no risk of hiv as long as he did not penetrate you unprotected. The second exposure, even with a canker sore and 5 day old dental work would also pose no risk as there was only precum and oral sex is safe sex in regards to hiv. While it is shown that acute hiv infection could cause late periods, there are many more realistic explanations for yours. You did not have any reasonable exposure to hiv.

Thank you Anthony , it’s hard to put the mind at rest when things keep showing up. I have been anxious before and in 19 years my period has not even been delay.
Everything “showing up” is not HIV related. No ars symptoms would show up two days after and im sure you are imagining your lymph-nodes “getting hard” many people do. Night sweats only occur because of a fever which you did not have. Lower back pain is not ars. That is all you had no risk and it sounds like you’ve been told so before. If you are so anxious about hiv talk to your partners about their status BEFORE any kind of contact.
Sorry guys I apologize
You need not apologize or feel shameful for any thing at all. The idea of this forum is to provide support, you have been already told that you have nothing to worry about and do not need to test for HIV.

Once again for your convenience, I am going to chalk out the real risks for HIV transmission:

A. Unprotected vaginal or anal sex
B. Sharing needles with people who inject drugs.

Please see a gynaecologist for issues with your menstrual cycle.
Thanks mike!! I’m sorry but it’s hard having this symptoms. My period came but I still have some yeast infection (gynecologist said) I’m afrai d I read hiv infected people are likely to have it as well my lymph node under my chin is hard not painful and most of the time I try swallowing it makes a clic sound . I asked the guy I was with to take the test his results should be ready next week he said !
