There are certainly some people who don't know exactly what event caused them to get HIV, but you can be assured that it was through unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or by sharing intravenous needles.  They may have had unprotected sex or shared needles with many people, so they don't know exactly which event resulted in contracting HIV.

None of the people who don't know how managed to contract HIV by some mysterious, unknown method, and certainly not through a handshake or touching a cut or scrape on another individual.

yes i see i just asked why a doctor in india said that a had not zero risk , because some people get hiv and they dont know how ? would a tiny superficial scratch have no acess to my blood stream ? today about 36 hrs later is almost healed
If you had did a massive research about open cut on this forum... An open wound is a deep cut in the skin that is bleeding profusely and requires stitches. Hope it will give u a peace of mind.

NO risk of HIV by hand shake! HIV can be ONLY be transmitted by unprotected vaginal or/and anal penetration, sharing IV drug works and from mother to child.

It is a very well known fact that shaking someone's hand, even with or without cuts, scrapes, bruises or whatever, is NO risk!
