Anxiety over HIV

In early February of 2009 I had a drunken encounter with a transexual escort. I guess I was curious, so we had protected anal sex. I gave the prostitue anal sex. No condom breakage, no slipping off.

Now, in late November (9 months after this incident) of this year I had blotchy red spots show up on my scalp. Non-itcy, just blotchy spots. Then a week or two later, I had what looked to be yeast spots or pyrosis spots show up on my penis. Then about a week after that (Now 10 months after incident), I had two circular spots show up on my left forearm, and then one more on my right shoulder. I went to the doctor, he said it appeared to be a fungal infection, and not to worry, and prescribed some prescription creams. The spots on my arms and penis have gone away. The one on my shoulder is slowly going away. However, I have had one more show up on my back about halfway down, below my left shoulder blade.

I now have had SEVERE anxiety over this all. I am deathly afraid I have caught HIV. I can't seem to shake the anexity, even though the doctor has said this is nothing to be concerned about. Is it possible to have these things come up nearly a year after contact? I really need to shake this anxiety over this all, its really causing a problem in my life.

Any help would be great, Thank you.

contrary to popular belief...not everything is related to hiv.

work with your doctor if you are having health concerns...its not hiv.

You had no risk as you have said your Dr has already stated. Protected sex is not a risk. You might want to think about seeing a therapist for your anxiety.
