Kissing: zero risk or very low risk?

Why does many sites say that deep kissing can be a risk if blood is present?

How much blood as to be present?

Do you think we would have noticed if we had blood from other person in our mouth?

Thanks!

There is one case reported by CDC in 1997.

And how can you be sure that no infection have occured through kissing? It could have been attributed to other risky activities.
