Hi!
I MAY have had an exposure - I m not sure, it started like this:
Day 1 : 6pm - shaved my legs with a razor. Went out. At 10-11pm when I came back, there was some saliva on the sidewalk I did not see, I stepped in it and it touched my shaved skin (there were 4*C outside). I tried to wipe it off and I PROBABLY - i do not remember for sure if it was or not - had a smaaaaal splinter in my finger that may have touched the saliva. In 5 minutes I came home and disinfected the area. Did not notice any blood.
Day 11: Had fever and chills, sore throat, myalgia, headache, stuffed nose on one side. They appeared suddenly.
Day 12,13: Same.
On day 14: Only mildly sore throat, and mildly stuffed nose on one side.
1. Was I at risk? Should I worry? I asked my doctor because I wanted to go for PEP and she said no important virus lives so long in saliva outside the body - but I know hep b does for example.
2. Does this look like ARS to you? 3 days of fever that went down only with medication, max 38.7*C, myalgia, headache, sore throat, one sided stuffed nose? (Even now it s stuffed on one side - but if i do something it will unblock)
Please help? Thanks!!!
