Blood draw fear

Hi everyone

I have been reading this forum from last 2 months after a blood draw incident which made me go paranoid.,

All experts were saying it to be a no risk but no one answered why it is a no risk action.?

Also want to know whether is there any registered case of hiv infection during blood draw in recent years !

I hail from south India & the lab which I got tested is said to be NABL accredited.

Kindly someone help me with detailed information for peace of my mind ....

Hi raj

needle used was normal disposbale needle which can also be used for injection.

my doubt is when she was drawing blood it was flowing very slowly so sge injected the gap & pulled back the syringe for blood.

is that a risk because I failed seeing the needle opened.

The blood is taken  out and not injected inside you while drawing blood.

Dont complicate things .if there was blood in the syringe you might have known rite?and most of the labs use new syringes for drawing blood.

Please move on!!!!

Hii raj thanks for the reply

I have got this doubt even u replied saying sharing needles for drug works ....

My doubt is how blood draw and drug works are different because we use needles in both the cases?

What if there's blood in the needle during blood draw !!!

Kindly explain for my anxiety sake !!!!

You have no risk because you should be exposed to the virus to get it.

Listen clearly and dont go panicking

Hiv is transmitted by

Unprotected vaginal/anal sex

Sharing drug works

Mother to child.

You dont have hiv concern move on.
