Can a contact with p24/gp41 cause infection?

I bought a home kit to test myself and decided to open the stick for curiosity. I touched the strip which contained p24 and gp41 antigens and now I'm afraid that touching that strip could have put me at risk.

You did not have a risk from the chemicals inside the test strip.

Glad to hear that. One question: does these protein have RNA material?
This is an HIV forum and there is no reason to take your kit apart. You could call the manufacturer for the best information about what is in it.
