Candidiasis...6 weeks after exposure

6 weeks after unprotected sex i got erythematous candidiasis all over the roof of my mouth. It will not go away and it's been 8 months now...i cant see many other options than HIV - i dont match any other conditions that can cause this yet i've tested negative 6 times to 6 months post exposure...what do you guys think? Do test results always over-rule symptoms, even symptoms like this?

Test results ALWAYS trump symptoms where HIV is concerned. No exceptions!

You are HIV- as confirmed by your numerous tests.

Incidently, oral thrush occurs in many healthy people, and it is NOT common symptom of early or chronic stage HIV infection. It was seen as a common OI of late-stage HIV infection (AIDS) prior to the emergence of ARVs.

See your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment of the oral thrush. It shouldn't be persisting this long, but you can be absolutely sure that the cause HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIV.

Best wishes.
