Low risk exposure...still get tested?

while observing a birth I came in contact with amniotic fluid.  (on back side of my hand)  I washed my hands thoroughly within 2 minutes.  She (the mom in labor) was tested prenatally for hiv and was negative (so about 8 months ago) and tested negative for Hep just a few days ago.  i think i am low risk.  Should I be tested anyhow?  And how soon until it is accurate?  I dont' know why I am so nervous but this is my first real scare.  Please any advice.  thanks

if you are going into the medical field which is the only reason i would guess you were observing a birth, i would think twice. you dont seem to have the reasoning power to know what is safe and what is not. Also anytime you get alittle blood on you , you would be running to get tested. there is no risk in what you described

You are not new born infant and you did not have a risk by getting a little amniotic fluid on your hand.
