Cuts, Bleeding during basketball

Hey guys, 1st thanks for all of the knowledge and insight on my previous post about a month back, it really helped me during a time of worry...However, I'm back with a scare that happened today. I was playing basketball here in the bay area, where we know the *** rates are high. Anyways, I noticed during about my 3rd game I had a pretty bad cut on the outside of my left hand. it was bleeding and I kept wraping it in my shirt when the game would slow down, trying to stop it from bleeding. Anyways, I played about 3 more games like this. I got home and washed it and the cut is pretty deep. I'm really worried that other players have been been cut as well and that there blood may have came into contact with my open wound, thus PUTTING ME AT RISK. I know when exposed to air the virus dies, but I've also heard there are possibilities of sports transmission, after all, they made Magic stop playing ball back in the day over this concern. I'm pretty scared /worried. What should I do?!

Magic Johnson & Tommy Morrison both could have continued to play their respective sports--infect Morrison is still boxing now.It was magic who decided to retire but he could have continued playing if he wanted to.There is no risk & you had no risk.Accept this fact.

Thank You, I'm pretty familiar with that logic since I've been visiting this forum for a long time now. And I'm glad that is the case! However, what if there were 2 fresh cuts,me and someone else,simultanelousy....could it spread because it'd be such a quick transfer!?

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

Hey man, I am no hiv expert.  But I can tell you the NBA did not make Magic retire. he decided too. When he was apart of the dream team he was already postitive.  He even came out and said he wished he didnt retire so early.  There were some NBA players who did not want him to play, some even think they said that because they didnt want the lakers to win multiple titles.  Magic played with MJ Pipen Stocken Ewing etc on that Dream team when postive and he said he plaeyd full contact during games and practice.
