Dangerous Job (Final Question)

I’m working as travel agent here in India …Most of the time I’m talking to our clients in the distance of .5 meters. Shake hands after the ticket reservation and sometime spit flew to my eyes and rub my eyes... When I’m busy to my work sometimes ball pen was inserted to my ears and also my fingers...I just want to know if my hobbies for relaxation are safe for any HIV or hepatitis virus.

1. If there’s a blood in the saliva an flew in my eyes and I rab my hand after saliva flew to my eyes ? This is hepatitis or hiv  issue

2. If theres a blood in the salia and flew to my lips this is hepatitis or hiv  issue

3. If there’s a blood in my hand or in the ball pen and I inserted my finger in my ears? This is hepatitis of hiv  issue

4. In your expertise do I need a test for this incident?

These questions have been answered many times on this forum.  They can be seen by searching past answers.  My answers below will briefly summarize them.  The activities you describe do not raise concerns for acquisition of hepatitis, HIV or other viruses that are typically transmitted through sexual or injection activities.

1.  There are no instances in which hepatitis or other viruses have ever been transmitted in saliva, even if the saliva is introduced into the eyes.  None!!

2.  See above.

3.  No risk.

4.  The situations and activities you describe do not put you at risk.  Take care.  EWH
