We get many questions about kissing and oral exposure and whether or not the presence of a cold sore, bites to the lip, gum disease or other wounds in or around the mouth changes the answer to the question. The answer is no. The data which define the absence of any risk of getting HIV through kissing, deep or otherwise has be generated through studies of thousand and thousands of persons, some of whom had cold cores, cuts, etc. There is no risk. this is the case even if she was HIV infected or had had oral sex with someone who had HIV immediately prior to your encounter with her DR HOOK / MEDHELP
The risk of transmitting HIV through kissing (according to most experts) is for all practical purposes zero. Even if there were any cuts that could cause bleeding in the momentary height of the kiss (and putting the remote and theoretical hypothesis of this person have HIV), the concentration of virus would have to be very high and you would have to have some open wound in the mouth to exist virus transfer through blood. Even if you did not had any wound in the mouth and swallow the blood, the stomach acids destroy the virus, this is if your own saliva had not already neutralized before.
Take care.
It's good to kiss ladies, champ ;)
No HIV risk. Do make sure you take some time out and learn about STI's and it's transmission because there's more than kissing that you could do to women and I bet you don't wanna come back here every time you do some thing.
No. HIV is not transmitted by kissing.
