Difficult situation

Hello,  Difficult question to ask, I suspect my wife _may_ have had extra marital sex a couple years back, although I have asked and it has been denied, I am still not 100% sure.  If a person was infected with HIV what changes in the body would occure.  She has a recurring stiff neck and headach almost all the time and a brown spot that is painful to the touch her back and her skin is sensitve to the sun, she gets a tingeling sensation from heat..  She is tired often and has loss some weight.

Any thoughts??

What is a joke is for someone like yourself to come to a forum and ask about marital problems that we can't help you with. You have been given an answer to your question. If you have a concern about your wife cheating and you may have been exposed then you test. There is nothing else that anyone can say. Symptoms of any kind will not tell you your status, only an HIV test will tell you.

I don't mean to be rude but this forum is a bit of a joke or waste of time.  There seems to be 2 answers to EVERY question, either; you can ONLY contract HIV from anal or vaginal sex or sharing needles for illegal drug use OR you can only know if you have HIV by getting conclusive test results at 3 months.

If that is the case why waste time with a forum and just post the facts.  I asked a ligitment question about the disadvantages to prolong detection and received one of the 2 canned answers.

Might you have thought that an true answer to the question might help MANY people on this fourm who are afrade to test.  By letting them know the facts about prolonged detection might get people to test quicker and NOT try to figure it out on the internet.

This not meat to be hostel, just a debate about the proper use of information.

I am afraid your right... So the underlying answer is... Someone could have an unknown risk and either not experience ARS or completely misdiognose ARS and go on for years with HIV without knowing.

That's something that you and her will have to work out. You won't find the answers on the Internet.

Yea, sounds like a simple answer... or _SHE_ could just get tested; but how do I get her to or use a condom if she maintains for reasons of gulit or becuase she is just plain worried, that she has not ever done so.  It is a VERY tricky situation and there is NO easy solution.

I agree, but is testing the answer?  I have read that you can have repeated unprotected sex with an HIV+ person and not get infected, simular to LIZZY's daughter-in-law.  So if I test now and am HIV- do I test every month, because every 30 days is a new 3 month window correct?

Nothing really occurs to your body with recent HIV infection. If you have a concern then you go test.
