Do antibodies diappear after taking HIV medications?

How is that possible?  I saw Macgryver16's post about Tommy Morrison and how Tommy says that his tests were misleading and were false positive in 1996.  After 11 years he claims that he is negative, and has taken all the tests (FDA approved and even those that are not) to prove that he is free from HIV for life.   The strange part of his case is that, everyone knows that when testing for HIV, it looks for antibodies and not the virus itself, but do antibodies disappear on HIV positive people after they start taking meds and goes undetectable?  How's that possible?

And then shouldn't they have confirmed this particular caseon Western Blot which detects strains anyway before they put him in the ring?

Those of you with high speed of internet, you can see Tommy's Video interview where he talks about HIV and even says that a seed from bagel can give false positive results (sure buddy!):

Have you ever seen a boxing match that wasn't stopped due to a cut. Now considering since 1984 there has been less than 100 that turned positive to to occuptational injuries in the health care industry that has had over 900,000 possible exposure, the risk is near zilch.

he was also suffering from Hep C because of drugs and I think that seriously puts others in danger I think.

What I can't seem to understand is that they let him fight because of his lies about HIV Test ( I was under the impression that all states required it?), and they didn't bother to confirm the facts.  I still think there is a risk, a low one at that in Boxing if someone is fighting HIV.

There has never been a transmission of HIV from sport injuries. He wasn't banned by every state to fight. There was never a real risk even if he was positive.

that's what I thought man.

The guy's really crazy to put other people in danger in the ring and himself.  How did he even get one fight after so many years.  They didn't even bother to confirm this.

I can't really have much respect for people who lie and think so low about HIV.  It's really a serious thing.

Don't know what HIV testing he was doing...but can't be 'real' ones.

No, once you are infected you'll have antibodies, same as with chickenpox, hepatitis, and other illnesses.
