Does fixation of blood smear with Leihshmann stain affect HIV?

In a pathological laboratory, I prepared a blood smear for DC wbc. While washing away the stain and distilled water in tap water, some drops of the smear and stain might have touched my finger. Then I don't remember if washed hand. I ate an apple fifteen minutes later. Am I at a risk if the sample was HIV positive?

You can't contract it from eating it or we would all have HIV.
