Does this mean it prob wasn't ARS

Hi there,
Okay so I had unprotected sex with two girls in bangkok Thailand over a one week period(dont ask, very very very stupid I know). Two weeks later when I was down training Thaiboxing in Phuket Thailand I came down with a very high fever and fatigue with no real respiratory symptoms like cough or running nose. After the second day of fever I visited Phuket international hospital and was diagnosed with acute viral infection with bronchitis by symptoms and signs, but after googling this I'm pretty sure I didn't have bronchitis.I'm so scared this was ARS as the exposure and two week mark add up, the fever lasted 5 days and fatigue about 7 days.
During the time I was ill with fever I spent about two days with a girlfriend form home (UK). The day after she left on her travels she then got fever herself and sore ears. He fever only lasted 2days though.

My main question - Since my friend from the UK got sick the day after leaving me when I was sick indicate that I just had some sort of common flue or viral infect instead of ARS? I know ARS cannot be diagnosed by symptoms or lack of symptoms. I just want to know if you pass on your flu like symptoms to someone with days does this mean that its most likely not HIV ARS.

If someone can educate me here that would be awesome.

Best wishes,
Buckster

As already suggested, this could very well have just been a nasty bout of the flu, as it more than likely was. It is the rare heterosexual woman that has HIV, even in some foreign countries. However, having had unprotected sex multiple times with 2 different partners does place you at some degree of risk- IF they were infected. The ONLY way to know your status is to test at 3 months after these exposures. (assuming you have no more exposures in between then and when you test.) Try not to focus on your symptoms- unfortunately, they will tell you nothing as HIV symptoms are very nonspecific and individualized. The only thing you can do is test at 3 months. I wish you the best of luck, and I hate to say this, but please let this be a lesson learned that it is NEVER worth it to skip condoms and place yourself at risk and make yourself go through so much horrible anxiety worrying. It's not worth it.

If you both got sick, with the same symptoms, you might have both just had something minor. (Flu is contagious). I guess ARS could take place, but what are the odds of both of you getting them at about the same time?  I'd say you both had something minor.
