You misunderstood Dr. Handsfield's answer. Nromal, healthy peole do produce antibodies. Last answer. EWH
thank you,but haven't you seen that my question to dr hhh? i said "Is there really proved that healthy normal person also could be with no antibody producing? " he said "yes".
Yes ,logically you will produce antibodies to fight against HIV..but there were real some strange cases not produce..and it's not end-stage of aids,i've read them on the CDC.
any way ,thanks to reassure me.:)
As you know, Dr. Handsfield and I share the Forum. I will address this repetitive and unnecessary question briefly but will accept no follow-up questions and will delete them if they are posted.
Dr. Handsfield has already told you that there is no risk for HIV form the exposure that you reported and that your tests provide conclusive proof that you do not have HIV. Yet you ask the question- is it possible that you could be infected and not producing antibodies. The answer to this questions is also no. If you had HIV you would produce antibodies. Further testing of any type, PCR, more antibody tests, etc will show the same answer that you already have- you did not get HIV from your exposure over a year ago.
You need to believe you tests. If you cannot, I urge you to seek the help of a counselor o mental health professional who can help you to sort his out. For you to continue to worry about HIV is irrational. EWH
Stop panicking. I think you have misunderstood Dr. HHH. I am sure he meant that 'normal' people will always produce antibodies against HIV.
Think logically, what if you were not able to produce antibodies against HIV? Wouldn't you be getting deadly ill soon if your body was in no position to fight HIV? I understand it is just because of the antibodies that HIV is kept under control for a certain time (yeas) by your immune system.
I also read that in end stage AIDS, meaning in people close to die from AIDS, it is possible they test negative because their immune system has totally collapsed and production of antibodies is not possible anymore. Are in that position, I don't think so.
You should also get yourself updated on the testing window periods. These days, with modern testing kits, 3 months is conclusive. 6 months is unnecessary except to get over your fears. All beyond 6 months is a complete waste of time, energy and money.
