No problem, I'm glad to help. Take care. EWH
Many thanks for your help Edward (Sorry not sure whether to call you Dr. Hook or not). :)
Welcome to our Forum. I'll be pleased to confirm what you were already told on our HIV Community site- the events you describe we no risk exposures for HIV or for other STDs. It is recommended that condoms be changed for each sex act to reduce the risk of condom failure, something that happens on about 1% of sexual encounters. That your partner did so reduced your risk for infection by reducing the risk of breakage. I would not worry at all about the event you describe.
a) Why would she change condom from oral one to another one for penetrative? Do you think theres something here?
See above. She was doing the right thing.
b) Do I need to get myself checked for HIV or other STDs with the protected oral and vaginal sex?
Condom protected sex is safe sex. I see no reason for testing related to the events you describe.
c) I also did some French Kissing, I do have poor oral hygiene illustrated by my dentist only last week. So do you think I might be at risk?
There are no STDs that are transmitted by kissing, including French kissing. I would not worry.
d) As of today I've had joint pains and developed a flu all inidicators of ARS.which is worrying hence why sending this message to a professional instead.
While flu-like illnesses can be an indicator of early HIV, they usually are not -less than 1% of flu-like illnesses in at risk persons are due to HIV and you are not at risk. It is flu season, that is most likely what is going on.
I hope these comments are helpful. EWH
