I don't care if you did have. You were not at risk of contracting HIV. As for you other question most people test positive before three months if they are infected.
Dear Teak,
I really appreciate your time to answer my question. But I had cunilingus with person who was hiv+
And please tell me, have you ever seen someone who revealed his positive status during the first three months?
Thanks. That was the last question.
You were never at risk of contracting HIV.
I still really don't have a clue as to what point you are trying to make. Your posts are virtually unreadable.
Get tested as you see fit and move on please.
The two doctor's that contribute on the HIV expert's forum are far more knowledgable and more more educated than you are. If you have an issue with them, that's your problem, not theirs.
I was talking about experts on this forum where experts are giving answers. There are too many similar questions with answers -there was NO risk. Mr HHH, too, says that 3 months period is conclusive. That is what I am talking about.. Also, I can provide you few contacts of people who are willing to help by their stories about late seroconversion - among them a friend of mine who became pregnant and was tested negative at 2,5 months mark, then again positive at 5 months. She wants to help in preventing of spreading hiv, because she is really kind person. After her story I went to the clinic and received my first results. After that I asked the girl I had oral sex with to do the same and she was positive. That is my story, and it is continuing... So, I just wanted to emphasize - that chances for contracting hiv are always 50-50 - which means - you contracted or you didn't. Please stop convince those people with definite exposure that they shouldn't be retested because it can be really serious...
I'm not a doctor - this is not the experts forum. Also, I'm not the least bit educated about the public health statistics in Moscow.
If you want advice from an expert - post on the expert's forum - it's only 15 dollars.
But see how rare is that someone is late seroconverter:
You enter some USA city with total population of 700 000 (which is the number of hiv + in USA). The number of those who are "VERY RARE CASES" is 21.000 !!! So, if everyone of those who are very rare write down their stories - you will need more than a year to read this. So, why some of you state that 3 months window period is absolutely conclusive?! Even some doctors and professionals?!
Actual test in Moscow is ELISA 4th generation, and it has nothing with sensitivity to find out if there are antibodies or not - it has something only with your own body - if it can produce antibodies during that period of time or not.
I think, the right question is:
Does someone discover that was infected during the first few weeks after exposure? I think the number is too small...
88 days post exposure (very low risk) and the test is negative - me thinks you are fine....
You answered your on question above - it stated that a rare percentage of people can seroconvert up to six months.
If your not convince by your three month test, get re-tested six months post exposure and be done with it.
What more can someone add?
