Fear & Anxiety

Dear Doctor,

I am writing to ask you about my case.

I am 25 years old male from Thai. I went to girl massage in Bangkok in 24 July 2013. No intercourse or kiss with her excerpt she use her hand for me and I suck her nipple (as I remember when my tongue touch her nipple, I can feel sweet on my tongue). Then I went back home and I found that I have a small mouth ulcers in my mouth. I am so feel worry about that. Therefore, I went to do P24 Antigen test at 16 days and Antibody test at 25 days. All the results come NEGATIVE.

1.Could you evaluate my situation?

2.Should I stop worrying about HIV?

I hope you can help.

Thank you.

Welcome to our Forum.  Based on the information that you have supplied, I would encourage you to not worry further about the exposure that you describe.  The activities you describe, receipt of masturbation and contact of your mouth with your partner's breast are not activities that are considered risky for acquisition of HIV.  Had you asked soon after your exposure, I would not have even suggested testing.  You chose to test and the tests were negative, providing further evidence that you were not infected.  My recommendation to you is to not worry further.  There is no reason related to the activity that you describe for further testing or for concerns about the possibility that you might transmit an infection to sex partners.  I hope this comment is helpful.  EWH

No change in my assessment or advice.  You should look for other, non-STI explanations for your rash.  There is still no need for testing related to the events you described.  EWH

Sorry for bothering you again.

It has been three to four months after my activity. But I am still feel worry because these day I have rash on my limbs. It is not itchy at all. It is a small red spot and bump in some parts.

1)Could you please give me more detail about this?

2)Should I get test again?

I hope you can help.

Best.

There is no reason to consider the symptom that you describe as being indicative of recently acquired HIV.  The exposure you describe did not put you at risk for HIV. EWH

Thank you very much for your replying.

I have one last question. My question is my body feel hot but no fever at all.

Could you please tell me that this is not related to HIV infection?

Thank you.
