15 seconds unprotected vaginal sex, HIV Risk?

Hello,

I have had a brief unprotected vaginal intercourse (maximum 15 sec) one month ago with an Asian girl I met online. I ejaculated outside. Should I be worry about HIV? She is not a sex worker, and she had HIV test 8 months ago and she was negative and just had sex with her boyfriend. I had HIV test 3 months ago and I was negative also. I don't have any STD and didn't suffer any symptoms since this exposure.  Just a stiff neck, muscle pain and mild sore throat from time to time. I went for a doctor and he examined my lymph nodes and assured me that none are swollen and said there's nothing to worry about as I don't have any symptoms for STD and my exposure was very brief. Plus people here (in Dubai) don't have a high rate of HIV. I read also some replies by doctor HHH and he mentioned nothing is serious from a one time encounter especially a brief one. Is that true?! What are my chances to contracted the virus?! Should I worry?!

Any experts opinion are welcomed and thank you in advance.

Hi guys,

I made the HIV Combi test today and the result is as following:

Result: 0.18

Reference:
Negative: 1.0

Test: HIV Combi (I&II Antibodies + P24 Antigen).  Method: ECLIA.

That means i'm negative, right?! The Lab doctor tell me on phone that I'm negative but would love to take ur opinion also.

Thanks in advance.

The odds are low, but HIV isn't an odds game. Unprotected vaginal intercourse can be a risk, therefore you must get tested. If it's already been a month (28 days or over) get a DUO for an excellent indication. Follow up at 12 weeks post exposure for a conclusive result.

Thank you for your advice.

I have found a place here doing this test (HIV combi test + P24 ag). Is that the DUO test you mentioned?! If my result is negative (hopefully) then I can forget about the whole thing and move on?! It will be almost 34 days post exposure.

Last thing please, are my chances to contract the virus low or very low?!
Comby or DUO are the same thing as 4th gen. Your result after 34 days is an excellent indicator about your status, and very unlike to change it the future, but according to CDC that result must be confirmed by any test taken 12 weeks post exposure. Only a doctor could advice you skip that final test.
Thank you for the clarification. I contacted the clinic and they said that my results for this combi test will be ready 3 hours after doing the test. Is that normal?! I'm sorry it's my first time to do this out of my country and I live all alone here.
It's up to the clinic and its logistics, is perfectly normal.
