Can i get HIV? please help
So i was at the gym like 2-3 weeks ago and i was using a machine with an attachment that was attached to a braided metal. Upon doing the exercise i noticed about three small briads of the metal became unbraided- basically sticking out, when i pushed forward i cut myself, the cut was very small. it was 3 little dots, i did see blood but not dripping or anything. Somone was on the machine before me- my concern is how about if the person before me cut themselves. I have had a sore throat and minor headaches. i have extreme aniexty as well. Could i have been exposed to hiv?
The only thing thats possible is that you don,t have hiv and don,t require any testing.What you do require however is professional help for your phobias.
just a general question, does an hiv rash come and go-like 30 minute rash then disappear?

It's the anxiety. HIV is a fragile virus and it's hard to catch.

The only way we can reassure you is by telling you the facts,and they are that you never had an exposure to hiv from the situation you described and testing is not required for this incident.That simple.
i went to the doctor today he basically told me the same thing. He said to relax and if i want i could get a test, im going to get the test done just for piece of mind.

Your stress is not justified because you never had a risk of hiv transmission from the situation you described and you have been told this by our best answerer.You need to let this go and accept the facts.Your symptoms are stress related not hiv related.
i have tingling in hands and feet? i looked up that its a common sign of stress, but it is also a sign of hiv! im so stressed!
i guess my symptoms are stressed related- i keep reading crazy stuff online and then i guess i stress myself out so much i feel the symptoms.
The virus isn't alive it is either active or inactive. Outside the body it is inactive and cannot replicate. No you would not be able to get infected in that manner even if a football use the equipment and they all got cuts. You did not have a risk.
so if someone did cut themselves before me this would mean the virus would have died. So even if i did cut myself i wouldnt be able to get infected at all? sorry its just im so parinoid!
