Semen into open wound

Hi Dr's,

Yesterday I gave a handjob to a transexual and she edjaculated on my hand. After I remembered I had cuts on my cuticle on my index finger. I sometimes pull tiny pieces of skin off my cuticles, and I did so about 9 hours before this happened, so the small wound was still a little fresh.

I asked if she had any "diseases" and she said no.I always practice safe sex, but I'm afraid her semen might have gotten into my cuts, and she might be HIV infected. After I got home I washed it and then later I pressed on my small wound with a tissue and it was not bleeding but it still left a small wet spot on that paper, as if my cut was still not dry. It does only appear to be the top layer of skin which is missing, and it never bled.

Im very worried and I want to get tested. What do you think are the chances I acquired HIV.

Sorry doc, this is probly unnecessary and excessive, but I found out that the correct name for the wound I had, is a "hangnail." That was about 9 hours old.

Would your opinion change at all?

Info I find on the net terrifies me.

Thank u.

Welcome to the Forum.  The exposure you describe did not put you at risk for HIV, even if your partner did happen to have HIV (which is unlikely- most people do tell the truth).  HIV is not spread by masturbation despite the fact that it is typical for persons engaged in mutual masturbation to get their partners' genital secretions on themselves.  This is true even though most people have cuts, scrapes, irritated or cut cuticles, etc on their hands and fingers.  The body closes up wounds of this sort almost immediately after they appear, restoring the barriers which make skin surface contact with genital secretions not a risk for HIV.  There really is no risk for HIV related to the exposure you describe and no medical reason for testing.

I hope this assessment is helpful to you.  Nothing to worry about. EWH

Thank you doctor.

So does it make a difference that my cut was still wet with that fluid that open wounds produce to heal?

I know you said your body closes up these wounds almost immediately, but I was concerned that mine was still open since it was still a little wet after the encounter.
