is a 11 week negative conclusive?

Hi all
i wanna put up a simple question.... Is a 75 days(10.5 weeks,2 days short of 11 weeks) Single Antibody Test Conclusive?

I had a 2 weeks and 4 weeks HIV DUO (P24 antigen + Antibody) - Negative.

Then i took a Single Antibody Test at 6 weeks and finally the 10.5 weeks one... - Negative.

Can i assume that i am indeed NEGATIVE?? Even if i have symptoms??

You didn't have a risk in the first place and never needed the first test. Move on.

Be practical here man. It is said that 99% test positive by 8 week. If you are negative by 11 week, will your virus become active suddenly by 12th week. It is said to test again in 3 months and 6  months for those who are involved in high risk exposure, like unprotected sex, or male to male intercourse. At first place you need not even requied any testing. Relax you do not need any futher testing.

If at all you decide to take another test, then I would suggest take it after 91 days.

A negative test after 3 months is considered conclusive. I would consider 3 months as (3 calander months) thats 91 days.
Some say 3 months = 84 days.. I guess they are counting 3 months of feburary :-)

;-)  just kiddn...

9 days will not change your test result.  You are negative.  No, you do not need to test again. A hand job is not a risk.  Vaginal fluid on your balls is not a risk.

Unprotected vaginal or anal INTERCOURSE is a risk.  Needle sharing is a risk.  What you had was not a risk at all, you never needed a single test, let alone all the ones you had over this nonsense.

See mate...first of all there was no need to  test as u didnt have a risk...a handjob is not considered a risk..tomorrow you may go for test after shaking hand wiz someone u may think have HIV...and this will go on and on...now its up to you to see if u wanna test or not knowing well that u didnt have a risk..instead of spending money on the test...pay a psy to help you..all the best...

You will always be in disbelief per your need to ask this question over and over.  I would suggest you get retested ONE last time at 90 days. (For Mental relief reasons).  Then don't question it anymore.

I dont even care about them anymore..maybe they were here from before and i noticed them in those days when i was crazy...my swollen nodes in mouth still hanging around(this one came when i was at the height of my crazyness)...the one  in the side of the neck gone...the one on the collar still here (my doc said there is node there)..my feet are still swollen...LOL...but i dont give a damn..at least i know its not HIV,HEP or even diabetes(i did a diabetes test too)...anyway i will be going for an xray in 2 weeks just to have a look at those swollen areas...but for sure i am not concerned anymore with HIV...it is my past..i am leaving life happily now...cheers...do like me...

I had an exposure on 23rd Aug 2007 in Hong Kong

went to a massage parlour there and the girl gave me a hand job.... i had scratchy testes....but i did not see any blood etc...

she massage me... i was lying on my stomach and she was massaging my back and i did not see what she did.... i Assume that she used her vaginal secretions....and she touched my balls....I did not see her ,...i just assume she did....

She was wearing all her clothes and was not naked.... i was naked....

thats my risk....

i am scared that she touched my balls with her vaginal secretions.....NO INTERCOURSE...NO ORAL

NOTHING AT ALL...
just what i described above...

look, chances are you may not seroconvert in 9 days, but the fact that you posted your query here indicates that you arent certain of your 10.5 week test?????? So test at 12 weeks and move on.....

I too tested at 10.5 weeks, my 12 week mark is monday - I so desperately want to test sooner but I know I wont be 100% satisfied with a result prior 12 weeks.

I recall a post on the body where Dr Bob was asked about an antibody test at 11.7 weeks - he said that it was indeed conclusive, and i assume the guy moved on. Basically, it's up to you.....
