HIV P24 test (Combo test) after 14, 21, 28 and 42 days but still anxious.

Hi guys, I have a unprotected virginal sex for 1-2 mins on 15 July. I have head for the 4th gen duo test (P24 antigen and antibody) on 14, 21, 28 (4 weeks) and 42 (6 weeks) and they all come back with negative result. But I am still freak out for I may have HIV infection.

Is my result conclusive and I can move to my life?  And shall I take a test again after 3 months cause most of the persons/ professionals are saying the test result shall be conclusive at 3 months. I am not sure are they still using the old guideline or they are too conservative.

Many thanks for your answers.

J

Stop testing.  You were told last time that you were conclusively negative, and this latest test also proves that.  No matter how many times you test, you will be negative.

Forget about this event and move on.  You do NOT have HIV.
Will the 3 moths rapid antibody test for HIV is still required for the CDC guideline? I still thinking of that I may have chance for HIV infection since there still have some rare case will be detected in 3 months...

But I have seen the answer here for no negative result changed to positive for 4th gen duo test after 4 weeks and 3rd gen in 6 weeks. I am still feeling bad for this, it drives me crazy.

Thanks.

J
The DUO is conclusive.  You do not need ANY more tests - you are negative.  No matter how many different ways you ask the question, the advice will not change.
dude, stop testing. if you have anxiety or have created an unrealistic fear of HIV, even though you've tested negative, and they were conclusive, seek help for those problems. maybe a therapist to talk to,  or psychiatrist.
I have feel bad again that I still think I may be one of the rare case for the antibody could be detected within 3 months, and I want to test again for I have just passed the 3 months mark...

This is an HIV forum, and the questions regarding HIV and your conclusive tests have been answered.  There is nothing more our members can say.
