If a sex partner had HIV, insertive rectal intercourse would put you at the same risk for infection as insertive rectal sex with another male. On the other hand, the rubbing you describe, even if her secretions were to seep onto and through your clothing would not put you at any risk for HIV. EWH
Hi Doc,
I had one more question : In case I have exceeded the limit on questions to be asked in one thread, then I can ask in another thread but I assure you that this is my last one.
I read on the internet that it has been found that men who have sex with men have significant concentration of HIV in their anal secretion (I am not sure what that this). Anyway, do women also have anything called an anal secretion and if so, in case they are HIV positive, does the anal secretion have HIV in it?
I am going for a bachelor's party with my friends to a strip club in SF and I am going to take a lap dance with the woman facing away from me that is rubbing her anus and buttock against my clothed body if and only if there is no chance of possibly infectious anal secretions seeping through my pants.
Thanks
Andy
Thanks and sorry for the bother.
I agree with your doctor's assessment. As to where the Duo test is available in SF, as I told you, I do not know. Perhps you could check with one of the many HIV Prevention dedicated community-based organizations in the SF area. EWH
Hi Doctor,
I called up Abbott but they refused to tell me as to who uses their duo kits in California. SF health dept. also did not know.
I went to my doc and she said that since I had my pants on at all times, with possibly a 6-inch thick blanket at most times, and I did not even touch her private parts (The interaction was substantially less than what happens at strip clubs say, where people grope or touch private parts), there is really no chance of infection.
So, she refused to give me a duo test. I was wondering if you can give me some info on places in CA which offer a duo test.
Welcome to the Forum. You are correct that HIV rates are relatively high in some parts of China. Even so, you are not at risk. there was no penetrative sex involved in your encounter. Thus there was no risk for acquisition o f HIV. You really have no medical reason for testing.,
As for getting the DUO test in SF, several thoughts. You could call the SF Health Department and ask them. Alternatively, you could ask your doctor to call his/her lab and ask in they will do it- they should. Finally you could find the local phone number for Abbot(the manufacturer) and ask them where the test is in use. Having said that, as I said before, you really have no need for testing.
Hope this helps. EWH
