HIV Subtype E Transmission

Does HIV subtype E (found in Thailand) have an increased risk of transmission?  I ask this because I have been reading about tropism of this strain for Langerhan's cells which are found throughout the skin.  Specifically, is there a risk for HIV infection when HIV infected blood comes into contact with INTACT skin (non-mucosal)such as on the finger.  The skin of the finger must also have Langerhan's cells.  Would such an exposure require HIV testing?

I am unaware of data to suggest differential transmission risks for various HIV subtypes.  Certainly no HIV infection can be acquired through intact skin.

if hiv infects langerhan's cells of the mucosal tract (especially subtype e), isn't there a risk for nonmucosal cells on the skin such as the finger especially if abraded (without blood) or under fingernails?  transmission (the exact mechanism) seems to be a mystery.
