HIV - Syphillis

Hi everyone,

I've been reading this forum and there are a lot of people who seem to know their stuff - here's my story - what's your assessment?

After unprotected sex with a woman of unknown status I decided to get tested for HIV and STD's. I got checked for all STD's: Syph', Gon', Chlamydia & Hep B at 19 days - Neg. For HIV I got a 4th gen' test at 31 days. Then two rapid HIV tests at 69 days and 130 days. - All negative.

Doc's say I'm in the clear, but since the exposure I've been feeling unwell.

Is it impossible to have HIV at this stage?

What about Syphillis - got tested at 18 days, but I read the window is longer?

I believe most people will test positive for Syphillis by 6 weeks so you might be to early, however syphillis is VERY RARE in heterosexual women.

Your HIV tests would be considered conclusive as the last one was taken at 19 weeks - you are HIV negative.

I think syphilis can take 10-90 days to show, but you should have noticed a syphilitic chancre, looking like a sore but painless, at some point. Other psoters may know more.
