The combotests are definitive. You are HIV negative. Relax. Enjoy. Party, but with condoms ...
Congratulations!
At 8 weeks 98-99% of tests that were going to be positive will be. You are not going to be in that remianing 1%. Your risk was low to start with and you now have evidence that you do not have HIV. It is time for you to stop worrying an move on. EWH
This will be your last answer. You don't have HIV. There is no evidence that htis is the case. Wasting your money on other tests is silly. Forget about HIV. Further questions will be delted. EWH
Hello Doctor,
Few days are to get married. I'm bit worried. Last test was at 15 week ELISA combo. Which was NEGATIVE. After that I had done CD4 counts results are;
CD4 % = 31.7 (Normal Range 28.2 - 50.7)
CD4 ABS= 481 (Normal 288 - 1507)
Overall Normal CD4 Count.
Today I sent again to test HIV with ELISA combo (19 weeks).. I'm worried about result.
Ever 15 weeks Results are changed?
CD4 count can be used to predict/guess HIV in human body?
Your tests are negative, You do not have HIV. Your symptoms are due to something else and you should work on what might be causing them with your own health care provider. EWH
Follow Up:
8 Weeks ELISA Negative.
13Weeks Tri DOT Negative.
Last Weekend:
I have tested Again with COMBI Ag/Ab [CMIA] ELISA 4th genration.
Result "NEGATIVE" Cutoff Value: 0.14.
This testing is done after 15th weeks of the last 2 Protected Exposures and Unprotected Oral.
Do I need to Test again after 6months. Bcz I'm still having lot of sysmptoms..
Please reply
I promise you. This going to be my last question.
ELISA Test after 2 month is good enough to say I'm negative?
I'm asking this beacuse I was told by doctor that last test was done with Rapid. I'm afraid they might not seen very faint line...
I have lot of things look forward to.
I never had an unprotected sex,
I had a ELISA after 2 month Negative, All infected peoples get positive result by this time.
Sorry to bother you U just missed one last question.
ELISA Test after 2 month is good enough to say I'm negative?
I do not know how to interpret the faint line but I would ignore it. The performance of the rapid test is unknown and you have negative results with two reliable ELISA tests.
No need for re-testing. You do not have HIV.

I'm from Indonesia businessmen quite frequently travel to Singapore and I have had two protected sex in Singapore I have had an ELISA Test in the reputed Hospitals after 8 week and 13 week respectively. Everything comes out negative.
But this rapid test was showing very very faint line. I had seen lot of posting regarding faint line.
Last 2 question and hope you will ans.
1) What are guidelines you will follow if you see very very faint line which is very very hard to see.
2) Do I need to re-test after 6 month? Or should I test again with Western Blot Test.
3) ELISA Test after 2 month is good enough to say I'm negative?
From your questions which was a bit hard to read, it appears that you are at low risk for HIV. As I understand it you have had sex with only two persons and the only unprotected sex you have had was receipt of oral sex. If I am correct at this, even before we discuss your test results, you are at very low risk for HIV.
I am not sure where you are or what tests have been performed on you. I am not familiar with the ACON rapid test but can tell you that it is not approved for use here in the U.S. (this is from the ACON web site). On the other hand, you have had multiple negative ELISA tests for HIV. Please remember that testing for HIV is a two-step procedure in which step one is testing with a rapid test or ELISA, if positive, is then confirmed through testing with a second test. Thu with either an ELISA or a rapid test such as the ACON, the second test step is used to prevent false positives. Please keep this in mind as you consider your own test results, particularly, in dealing with things such as the faint lines on the ACON test. Now on to your questions.
1. I would believe the ELISAs. They are negative. There is little evidence you have HIV.
2. The lines that appear are time dependent. If you wait long enough you may see lines that do not indicate infection. In addition, as I I mentioned, I know nothing about this test other than what I learned on the ACON web site. It worries me that they have not been approved by the U.S. FDA, not because it is U.S. but because the testing procedures fo the FDA are strenuous and therefore give us confidence in their outcomes.
3. See above.
4. There really is not information to suggest you have HIV. I would not delay your marriage. You do not have HIV.
5. There are no lines in an ELISA test
Hope this helps. I think the evidence is strong that you do not have HIV. EWH
@ stage 4 : Just comfirmed with doctor LAB test was with ELISA blood serum.
Questions
6) Why I have this faint line at 2 and 5th Stage???
